Learn how to give truthful and authentic performances for the camera with Berkeley Rep Instructor Michael Navarra. This 5 week class workshop gives beginning and experienced students a professional approach to acting that covers script analysis, scene study, blocking and auditions. Scenes will be recorded in the studios of Beau Bonneau Casting. Full attendance is required, as students will be paired up with scene partners and set to shoot on specific dates. Are you an actor who is more comfortable with scripts than improvisation? Do you have the improv background needed to nail the audition and book the job? Or are you an improviser who hasn't had a chance to try your skills on camera? This class is for you and anyone who wants to challenge themselves on camera when YOU have to create the dialogue and action on the spot, as is the case with many commercial auditions in the Bay Area. Learn how to think on your feet and develop confidence in any situation.

NEW TO THE INDUSTRY?
Do you want to get started in the business but don't know where to begin? These sessions are set up with the absolute beginner in mind. You will receive the basic information that you need to know if you are interested in becoming an actor in the Bay Area.
These consultations are not set up to tell you whether or not you have a shot working in this industry or whether you have "it." This is not an acting, on-camera or audition workshop. You will not be reading a script or practicing in front of a camera. It is simply an informational session to tell you the steps you need to take, and the work that is required for you to become an actor. You will also learn the realities of the business. Only a handful of actors actually make a living in the Bay Area. They do it through a lot of hard work and knowing how the industry works.
If you want to make informed decisions before embarking on this as a career than this session is for you.
